Hogmoor Parkrun Takeover

It’s time to paint Hogmoor Inclosure yellow! On Saturday 21st March, Alton Runners will be staging a parkrun takeover. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the local community and promote the upcoming Alton 10.

Family members and friends are more than welcome to get involved! It’s a great way for them to be part of the atmosphere and help us meet our marshal requirements so more of our club members are free to run or pace.

The Volunteer Essentials (Minimum Required):

  • 3-4 x Barcode Scanners

  • 3-4 x Course Marshals

  • 3–4 x Car Park Marshals

  • 2 x Timekeepers

  • 1 x Funnel Manager

  • 1 x Tailwalker

  • 1 x Parkwalker

  • 1 x First Timers Briefing

  • 2 x Pre Event Set Up

The Extras:

  • Photographer: If anyone (member or friend) fancies being the photographer for the morning, we’d love to have you.

  • Pacers: Once the core roles are covered, we’ll be looking for pacers for every minute between 18 and 40 minutes. If you fancy a pacing slot, please save the date!

How to Sign Up

To claim a spot for yourself, a friend, or a family member, you can:

  • At the AGM (on 18th February): Add your name to the sign-up sheet that will be going around.

  • Email: jarkidwell@gmail.com

  • Mobile/WhatsApp: 07717378297

  • Messenger: James Kidwell

Even if you aren’t volunteering, please come along in club kit to run and help us promote the Alton 10. Let’s make it a sea of yellow!
