The Southern Cross Country League (formally Today’s Runner Winter League) is held each winter, from mid-October to mid-March.
There are 6 events each season. The venues for the 23/24 season are:
The courses are set over terrain that takes the runners through woods, across fields, and along country paths. Distances vary slightly, but all are approximately 5 miles long (8Km). All-terrain shoes are recommended, but on occasions, spikes can be worn, you will be advised when you can by the host club.
All races start 11am.
This event is only open to clubs that are affiliated with Southern Cross Country League Club. Entry is free, an affiliation fee is paid by Alton Runners. So just turn up. CLUB VESTS MUST BE WORN
The minimum age of 17 years applies to these events.
