The Hampshire Road Race League (HRRL) is a league which uses road races from around Hampshire with one from Wiltshire. They vary in distance and location and operate between September and June. There are twelve races in the current season, all of which are open to everyone. Distances range from 5 to 13.1 miles and we welcome runners of all abilities to take part. Racing is a great way to focus your training and improve your running.
Club teams score points through the success of their runners, and the series culminates in awards to the highest placed teams in the leagues. Clubs can have multiple teams and these enjoy a wide participation of runners of all standards, abilities and ages. Individuals score points from their finishing positions in the races. There are separate leagues for women and men, both for teams and individuals.
Following our success in the Hampshire League, Alton Runners aims to field 2 men’s teams and 2 women’s teams throughout the season.
